As part of its commitment to enhancing women's role in scientific research and innovation, the College of Humanities and Sciences, in collaboration with the Ajman University Women Empowerment Council (AUWEC), hosted an introductory session on the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Middle East Regional Young Talents program 2025. This global initiative aims to increase women's participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, empowering female researchers to achieve excellence and contribute to solving global challenges.
The session, presented by Zeina Emil Samarah, Communications Graduate Trainee at L’Oréal Middle East, featured insightful discussions on the importance of gender diversity in science and provided valuable guidance on the application process. Samarah also highlighted L’Oréal’s sustainability efforts and commitment to innovation. Additionally, Tamara Salman, External Communications and Public Affairs Manager, shared her experience in managing the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Program, emphasizing its role in empowering female researchers worldwide and supporting them at different stages of their careers.
This global program is dedicated to supporting and empowering female researchers in STEM fields by providing grants and recognition to outstanding women in science.
